As a Group Leader, you are the heart of your group. You lead with empathy, guidance, and clarity, supporting your team and nurturing each child’s growth. 1.    Pedagogical Leadership

• Lead your group of children according to Kids Chalet’s pedagogical framework.
• Plan and implement engaging daily activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe, document, and support each child’s growth and learning progress.

2.    Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and mentor teachers, assistants, and apprentices within your group.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality teaching and collaboration.
• Contribute to a positive and professional team culture.

3.    Family Engagement

• Build trusting relationships with parents and guardians.
• Communicate regularly about children’s progress, activities, and needs.
• Support the intake and transition process for new children.

4.    Operations & Environment

• Organize and manage daily routines and group logistics.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
• Collaborate with the Location Manager to implement policies, procedures, and initiatives.

What You Bring

• Recognized childcare qualification (FaBeK EFZ, Kindererzieher/in HF, or equivalent).
• Leadership experience within a childcare setting, including supervising staff or apprentices.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, pedagogical frameworks, and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, staff, and families.
• Ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a team while collaborating with the Location Manager.
• Fluent in German (spoken and written); English an advantage.
• Digital literacy: experience with documentation, communication, and scheduling tools.
• Warm, empathetic, and professional demeanor with a passion for children’s learning and development.

As an English Teacher, you are the heart of the English curriculum within your group. You guide children with empathy, clarity, and professional expertise, and you support your team in making English a natural and meaningful part of everyday life at Kids Chalet.

1. Leadership

• Lead and supervise teachers, apprentices, and assistants within the location when it comes to promoting the English curriculum.

• Support team members through mentoring, coaching, and feedback to ensure professional growth and adherence to pedagogical standards.

• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring operational and pedagogical responsibilities are clearly understood and executed.

• Conduct regular team check-ins and meetings to coordinate English curriculum activities, reflect on practice, and share observations.

• Act as a support person for team issues, challenges, or concerns, and report significant matters to the Group Leaders and Location Managers.

• Support the Group Leaders in implementing leadership initiatives, staff evaluations, and professional development plans.

2. Pedagogical Leadership & Quality

• Plan and lead English curriculum educational activities for your group in line with Kids Chalet’s pedagogical framework.

• Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development within the English curriculum.

• Ensure that pedagogical practices are consistent and of high quality across all group staff.

• Guide new staff and apprentices in the practical implementation of English curriculum pedagogical approaches.

• Collaborate with the Group Leaders and Location Manager to develop and improve evaluation systems and group-level practices.

3. Family Engagement & Communication

• Build trusting, respectful relationships with parents and guardians.

• Communicate children’s progress, needs, and experiences regularly and transparently via the Group Leaders.

• Support the Group Leaders in family intake, orientations, and transition processes.

• Serve as a point of contact for parents regarding English curriculum-level matters and escalate more complex issues as needed.

4. Operations & Daily Management

• Organize daily routines and schedules to ensure a safe, smooth, and stimulating environment.

• Oversee group materials, spaces, and resources, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and pedagogical quality.

• Manage administrative responsibilities for the group, including attendance, documentation, and reporting to the Group Leaders.

• Coordinate with the Group Leaders and Location Manager to align group operations with the overall centre’s strategy, goals, and policies.

5. Collaboration with the Group Leaders and Location Manager

• Provide detailed reports on group activities, child development, staff performance, and operational matters as it pertains to the English curriculum.

• Support the implementation of centre-wide initiatives, policies, and projects, particularly the English curriculum.

• Participate in leadership and reflection sessions organized by the Location Manager and Group Leaders.

• Act as a reliable partner to ensure the location meets pedagogical, operational, and regulatory objectives.
