We are currently looking for the following positions at the daycare locations:

  • Location manager
  • Group leader (DE/EN)
  • Teacher (DE/EN)
  • Apprentice (DE/EN)
  • Cleaning staff

Your Role – with Head, Heart, and Hands

As a Location Manager, you are the heart of your centre. You lead with trust, warmth, and clarity, empower your team, and bring our core values – Growth, Leadership, Service, a Healthy Environment – to life every day. Together, we create a place where children, families, and staff feel truly at home.

1.    Pedagogical Leadership & Development

  • Implement our pedagogical framework and continuously develop it with your team.
  • Ensure the highest quality and compliance with local regulations.
  • Plan and support professional development and training for your staff.

2.    Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build and lead your team with care and recognition, nurturing individual strengths.
  • Foster a culture where everyone feels valued and heard.
  • Organize shift and holiday planning thoughtfully and efficiently.

3.    Operations & Family Services

  • Ensure smooth daily operations in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
  • Build open, respectful, and trustful relationships with parents.
  • Support families during transitions and new child intakes.
  • Represent Kids Chalet as a local ambassador for families and the community.

4.    Finance & Facilities

  • Manage your centre responsibly, overseeing the budget and resources.
  • Coordinate purchasing, maintenance, and IT, so your team can focus on what matters most – the children.


What You Bring

  • Certified early childhood education qualification (FaBeK, HF, or equivalent) AND University degree in pedagogy or similar (mandatory as per cantonal requirements)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss childcare regulations and quality frameworks.
  • Proven HR, operational, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and administrative systems (Microsoft Office, daycare software, ICT tools, Teams and email management).
  • Fluent in German; English proficiency preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to lead by example and work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Together with your team, you create a space where children feel safe to explore, families feel heard and supported, and staff feel inspired and empowered.

1.    Pedagogical Leadership

  • Lead your group of children according to Kids Chalet’s pedagogical framework.
  • Plan and implement engaging daily activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Observe, document, and support each child’s growth and learning progress.

2.    Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor teachers, assistants, and apprentices within your group.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality teaching and collaboration.
  • Contribute to a positive and professional team culture.

3.    Family Engagement

  • Build trusting relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Communicate regularly about children’s progress, activities, and needs.
  • Support the intake and transition process for new children.

4.    Operations & Environment

  • Organize and manage daily routines and group logistics.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Collaborate with the Location Manager to implement policies, procedures, and initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Recognized childcare qualification (FaBeK EFZ, Kindererzieher/in HF, or equivalent).
  • Leadership experience within a childcare setting, including supervising staff or apprentices.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, pedagogical frameworks, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, staff, and families.
  • Ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a team while collaborating with the Location Manager.
  • Fluent in German (spoken and written); English an advantage.
  • Digital literacy: experience with documentation, communication, and scheduling tools.
  • Warm, empathetic, and professional demeanor with a passion for children’s learning and development.
